Housing space expansions in Palia
Expanding housing in Palia is probably one of the first things most players will look towards doing. The game provides you a decent amount of land to start off with, but quickly you're asked to put down a tent, garden plot, various machinery, etc etc.
Quick overview
- Complete the quest asking you to place your foundation/build your house
- Wait until the house is complete (8 hours currently)
- Once the quest “House, Sweet House” is complete, venture to the City Hall Store
- Purchase your Writs with Renown
- Return to your home
- Expand your land with the Writs you purchased.
Detailed overview
As you progress through the game, you're eventually given a quest asking you to put down your housing foundation called “House, Sweet House”.
After you collect all 100 Sapwood Planks and 35 Stone Bricks required by that quest, you have to wait 8 real world hours.
8 real world hours is quite an ask, but there's currently no way to bypass this requirement.
As soon as your house is built after 8 hours pass, the quest line progresses and you're able to visit City Hall and use the “City Hall Store”. You can do this by interacting with the register on the first floor.
Writs are purchased with Renown, initially costing 20 Renown and increasing by 5 every other one you purchase.
For example:
- 20 Renown
- 20 Renown
- 25 Renown
- 25 Renown
- 30 Renown
… and so on and so forth.
After navigating back to your home, all you have to do is press the “H” key and select the plot of land you'd like to purchase.
